About This Course
This advanced course is designed for INRstar users who have been assigned Clinical Level 1 permissions (for example - Healthcare Assistants, Phlebotomists or Pharmacy Technicians etc.). The course covers both the core INRstar workflows and advanced features, including treatment plans and finding patients, through to adding INR results, managing out-of-range readings, and quality control processes including PoCT, IQC, and EQC.
Learning Objectives
- Find and identify patients within INRstar
- Add and update patient demographic information
- Create and manage warfarin and non-warfarin treatment plans
- Navigate and interpret the patient treatment record
- Add historical INR and treatment data for a patient
- Record a simple in-range INR result and generate a dosing diary
- Record and manage an out-of-range INR result using the referral process
- Record and maintain PoCT batch numbers for coagulometers
- Add, edit and delete Internal Quality Control (IQC) results
- Record External Quality Control results using parallel samples and NEQAS/WEQAS
